Heritage Materials
Our linen is grown and processed entirely in Normandy and northern France, representing generations of textile expertise. We've selected some of the finest 140g fabric from linen legends Lemaitre Demeestre (operating since the early 19th century) – it has an ideal medium-weight that offers a perfect balance between durability and comfort.
This premium weight gives each tea towel substantial body and elegant drape, while linen's natural willingness to crumple adds to its charm. Unlike lighter alternatives, this medium-weight linen provides excellent absorption and keeps its structure while developing a beautiful, lived-in character with every wash.
Artisanal Craftsmanship
Each tea towel is handcrafted in small batches by our partner studio, Mijuin, where skilled artisans transform raw linen into heirloom pieces. Every stage – from precise cutting to final stitching – receives exceptional attention, honouring traditional techniques that celebrate the subtle variations inherent in handmade goods.
Fabric: 100% French linen
Dimensions: Approximately 43 x 67cm
Care instructions: Wash on a normal 30 degree cycle with similar colours. Do not tumble dry.
Shrinkage: please note this product has been made with unwashed linen. This means there will be some minor shrinkage after the first wash, which has been factored into the design.
